HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANDY WARHOL

Andy Warhol's birthday was celebrated at the opening party for the current exhibition of photographs of the Warhol era at the Shoreham Hotel in New York. The party was hosted by Patrick McMullan, Ceslie Armstrong, Vincent Fremont, John Yoon, Jeff Harvey, Julianne Juergens and Billy's agent, Kevin Kushel of Ovoworks Inc. who was also the curator of the show. In addition to more than 25 photographs by the official Factory photographer, Billy Name, the exhibition also features works by Patrick McMullan, Mick Rock, Ultra Violet and others - with sponsorship by American Photo magazine.

Guests at the opening included photographer Anton Perich, Bibbe Hansen, Taylor Mead, Jane Holzer, Geraldine Smith, Flynn Earl Jones (son of James Earl Jones) accompanied by Susan Name-Linich (Billy Name's niece), Conrad Ventur (editor of Useless magazine), writer Robert Heide, Jimmy Webb, author Steven Watson, and actress Penelope Palmer (daughter of Ivy Nicholson and John Palmer).
